"Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."
This is one of the verses that I read this morning in my devotions. Little did I know how applicable it would be when I found out today we would have to postpone our mission trip to West Africa due to medical issues of a key team member. I had to sit back and realize God is in control and the salvation of the Western Karaboro people is in his hands, not mine. He loves them more than I could ever imagine. A huge praise is that we are going to be able to get a FULL refund for our tickets and that I will now be able to be here for my 3rd wedding anniversary (Dec 2) with my wife!
Also, I wanted to update everyone on our praise and worship night last week! It was amazing! Despite horrendous weather that kept several people away we still had over 40 people there, God used Michael our worship pastor in a huge way, and our first offering was a success! God is really beginning to move this community of believers forward in a big way.
1. Pray for everyone that will be affected by the postponement of our trip. Pray God would encourage the local believers, the pastor we are partnering with, strengthen the relationship with the local leaders, and healing for our team member.
2. Praise...God is raising up new leaders in our community. We have new teachers in our small groups both this week and next week! Pray that God would use them in big ways and ease any nervousness they might have.
3. We are in talks with several churches that are praying about partnering with us to plant Starting Point Church. Pray that God would give them clear direction how to proceed!
