Nehemiah 3 - SOAP Meditation

Tomorrow morning we will be studying Nehemiah 3 at all of our church campuses!  I hope you will take a few minutes and read it beforehand.  Yes it is primarily a list but every word in scripture is inspired by God and placed there for a purpose!  Get ready!

My prayer in posting this is for you to be inspired to read and meditate on each chapter of the book of Nehemiah yourself!  I pray meditating on God's Word becomes an essential part of the life of every person at The Point Church! (Psalm 1:1-3).  Below is my SOAP meditation from the second chapter of the book of Nehemiah

S "The next section was repaired by the men of Tekoa, but their nobles would not put their shoulders to the work under their supervisors." Nehemiah 3:5

O Nehemiah takes the time to write in a little extra tidbit about the men of Tekoa. He says their nobles or leaders were not willing to get their hands dirty like everyone else.

A May I never get to the point where I think I can just phone it in and rely on other people to build God’s kingdom while I kick back and take it easy. May I always lead the way in working to build the kingdom.

P Father I pray that I would stay humble and hungry to build your kingdom. I pray you would keep my passion hot and my strength strong to join with others to build your kingdom in our city. In Jesus name. Amen.
