Nehemiah 11 - SOAP Meditation

Nehemiah 11 paints a beautiful picture of a group of people willing to do whatever it takes to restore their community.  I pray we as a church family can continue to learn from their example!

My prayer in posting this is for you to be inspired to read and meditate on each chapter of the book of Nehemiah yourself!  I pray meditating on God's Word becomes an essential part of the life of every person at The Point Church! (Psalm 1:1-3).  Below is my SOAP meditation from the eleventh chapter of the book of Nehemiah

Nehemiah 11

S "Now the leaders of the people settled in Jerusalem. The rest of the people cast lots to bring one out of every ten of them to live in Jerusalem, the holy city, while the remaining nine were to stay in their own towns. The people commended all who volunteered to live in Jerusalem." Nehemiah 11:1-2

O An empty city with strong walls is useless. The next step was to have people move in and resettle the city. Then and only then could it grow and prosper and be restored.

A Right now we are in a state of building the walls in our existing communities. However, soon will come a season of settling in new towns and bringing the gospel to new communities. All In people are willing to do whatever it takes.. build, give, and even move their families. Whatever it takes!

P Father, may we be an all in people who will do whatever it takes to reach our community. I pray we would be missionary leaders for your kingdom. In Jesus name. Amen.
